The tap is fine, installation OK & works well, however the tap cartridge on the cold side has only lasted 2 years – cartridges really should be better than this. Removing & cleaning works a while but definitely not maintenance free.

Not as good looking a tap as I would have liked but the aside the instructions and fitting was excellent. Actual fitting took 20 mins and I’m an amateur.
Great for a basic kitchen.

Heavy duty well made and looks good.
Jongo (verified owner) –
Its hard to know how sturdy this is , but I’m willing to try because it looks so good and provides a good flow.
My plumber noted that there are stop valves in the pipes which are supplied with these taps, which will be a huge help if the washers need replacing

Great quality tap. So easy to fit. Took no time at all and no special tools/spanners or such needed. Would def recommend. We’ve bought cheaper versions of this tap previously – the last one lasted 4 weeks and the tap part fell off one night when I turned it on. Spend a bit more and get a fantastic tap!!!! Water pressure great, no leaks, looks very nice and well worth the money.

Bought this on recommendation from my plumber and it’s well worth it. Quality is great and it’s easy to clean. Really freshened up the kitchen sink

My plumber took a while to fit it due to me having thick quartz worktops so not as easifit as I thought. Once fitted it looks great and I like the worktop support it comes with. I’ve also registered it with Bristan so if the cartridges go in a few years they’ll have it on record and know the correct ones I need to order to save having a new tap.. I live in a hard water area and I’ve found taps only last 3 to 5 years before they leak. Cartridges will be easy to fit on this tap because the fixing screw is on the end of each tap lever.

Good quality product with a solid feel to it. The valves operate smoothly with a good water flow even at low pressures.

Professional Plumber.
Can be fiddly on your first attempt, but as always the second’s a charm. Fits standard size sink basin holes.
If it’s a marble top or anything unusual check the hole diameter that was drilled.
Beware: you must use Bristan’s duel isolation/check valves (unless the hot water supply is already fitted with a check/non-return valve) if the hot and cold pressure isn’t equal in your house. IE: a gravity system with a copper hot water cylinder in an airing cupboard and a large attic tank/cistern, as the water supplies on this tap mix in the body of the tap and not at the spout.

A Lovely Swan Neck Tap. Never had a swan neck tap before so done lots of research. We noticed some reviewers refer to the dribbles after you turn off the tap, but this applies to ALL swan neck taps, it’s due to the design of the long spout, so if any have given one star due to this should have done a bit more research before buying.
The easy fit system is different! When my husband fitted it he found it very unusual, but because we have very little room under our kitchen sink it proved to be a very handy way of fitting. I read one reviewer who said there was only one grub screw holding the tap in position on top that isn’t true, there are two screws one each side of the tap base which needs a tiny allan key to fit
(and we would not expect Bristan to suppy this to fit them!)
The tap tails which come up through the sink hole, hot is the plain pipe and cold is the screw threaded pipe are in the right positions, if the pipework for your mixer tap is plumbed in correctly your hot should be on your left and cold on your right, so if anyone says differently they are incorrect or their plumbing is wrong.
All in all we love this tap. The water comes out fast when opened up full and there is NO splashing with the high pressure cold. The gravity fed hot side comes out very well at about 6 litres per minute. It looks Lovely and isn’t overly large as some are, it does wobble slightly on our metal sink but no more than our old tap did, we do not have a tap support underneath so this is probably why. I do sometimes knock the tap but I will get use to it being bigger than the old one.
The box is very protective of the tap when sent through the post and there was no damage at all, and it also came with flexible hoses which also have water isolation valves and non return valves in the end of the hoses – FANTASTIC!
Very very happy with my lovely new tap.
Would recommend.

This is a really good quality tap with a sturdy feel and the quarter turn ceramic valves really do make an effective job of turning the water on and off without having to handle the taps when hands are dirty or greasy.
The instructions are good and clear, the easy-fit mechanism is really easy to fit (unlike some I have fitted with a similar claim) the assembly work can be largely completed prior to fixing in place, a small alignment to take care of and then everything slides together beautifully, and makes an attractive piece of equipment when completed.
I have struggled with a monobloc tap for years fitting a succession of new washers and reseating it as limescale buit up around the valve seat, it suddenly dawned on me that the only tap giving me trouble was the only one in the house that had not been manufactured by Bristan, but now I have put that right I have no tap troubles.
The most surprising thing about Bristan taps, including this one, is the price. You can expect to pay for great quality but this is affordable quality.
Don’t waste your money on inferior, cheaper taps, just look at the reviews and buy this well manufactured, solid, attractive, unit.

Reading previous reviews, I had some concerns about the performance of this tap. To ensure proper installation, I hired a professional plumber. I appreciate the easy-fit design, which allows for simple removal and replacement in the future. The tap functions exceptionally well, with no drips and smooth operation. It exudes a sense of luxury and quality. I highly recommend this tap and suggest seeking professional assistance for installation. It’s crucial to note that optimal performance requires good water pressure, as low pressure may affect the effectiveness of the valves. Overall, this tap delivers excellent functionality in the right environment and is worth the investment.
Robert Doughty (verified owner) –
I specifically chose this tap as it is much easier to fit from mainly above the 1.5 sink unit. It so much easier being able to tighten the main tap unit from above with an Allen key to get a good tight fit.

I opted for Bristan Easy Fit taps as these were recommended to me by my plumber.
Pros:
Solid, well built taps which comes with a sturdy housing that will allow easy future changing to another (Bristan) tap. My old taps housing featured a ‘horse-shoe’ collar underneath the sink which I don’t like and through which I had a small leak, hence my tap upgrade. This Bristan tap has a much more reassuringly brass housing.
Five year guarantee.
Cons:
As noted by other reviewers, this ‘swan-neck’ style tap sometimes runs briefly after closing the taps as a result of ‘syphoning’. Not a dripping fault but a little irritating depending how OCD you are.
I believe the flow rate from this is (marginally) worse than my old taps which were admittedly smaller in height than these ones.
I should point out the taps I received had a minor difference to the advertised picture; hot and cold taps were differentiated by a small ‘H’ & ‘C’ letter on the tap levers and not colour-coded as per the advertised picture but this really is very minor.
*** Update 15th Feb 2018 ***
Very concerned about some reviews online of the Bristan Easyfit taps detaching from the tap bases as the two small grub screws work their way loose over time with the result that you have a mains-pressure water fountain in your kitchen! Google trust pilot and and a plumber named Hamish Erskine who makes a very detailed analysis of this potential problem. It hasn’t (yet!) happened to me and hopefully won’t be a problem but doesn’t exactly help my peace of mind.
With this potential catastrophic failure being reported on a small but significant number of installations, I would recommend buying a conventional tap that physically attaches to the tap tails instead of being held on to the base by two small grub screws – the worst you’re likely to have with these is a leak, not a water fountain.
*** Update 12th Nov 2020 ***
The tap head is leaking quite badly. Disappointed that it’s doing after only a couple of years especially when I paid a premium to get a reliable brand.

Easy to fit, looks good and works well, fitted it about a month ago, no problems upto now, would by again.
Banana & Louise (verified owner) –
Looks good, just had it installed today, given the cost it’s not bad. I have given up buying expensive taps, they just leak after 3-4 years. This one was super quick to fit, 1 hour by my plumber. Good handles but not maybe as modern style as some taps. Let’s see how long this one lasts!

Looks really good swivel action is light and easy same for tap lever

This turned out to be an excellent buy. It is in the middle to top of the cost range, but turned out to be worth it. The packaging could have been better, as there was damage to the outer cover due to the packed item (the tap and display box) being able to move around inside. We employed a local plumbing firm that we have used before to fit the Monobloc Sink Mixer, it had been they who had recommended buying a Bristan Tap (we had being having consist problems with out previous kitchen fitting). The plumber / fitter, installed the tap without any apparent trouble, and we have being using it for about a month at the time of writing this review. At first it was about getting use to the size of the tap as it is so much larger than our previous fitting. This actual turned out to be a bonus as now with the Echo’s taller tower / spout, we can get kitchen ware that we need to fill under it very easily. I see no reason not to recommend this Bristan Echo Tap with our use of it so far.

The method of fixing to the worktop is good quality and very secure once you have installed it. We have a marble worktop and a Belfast sink and this caused a problem. The easyfit mounting would not drop through the worktop (due to its thickness) and had to be drawn up from below. We did this by dropping thin string down through the top mount, then threading it through the bottom mount and putting a large washer on the end. We could then pull it up and ‘capture’ it with the top mount. When the mount was fixed we did the same thing with the two tails. It was worth it.

Looks very good quality and holds to the work surface very rigidly, tap sweeps around very easily. However, not sure about “easy fit”, because the instructions were not quite in alignment with the parts. The way the base section is clamped from top and bottom of the work surface is excellent, leaving the tap to be just push-fitted on top afterwards and two grub screws turned. However, the instructions require you align the words “FRONT” with the front, but there were no words on the hardware! However, after some thinking, its clear that the underneath pin is towards the centre of the room, with the screw thread on the right. Came with a long flexible hose and valve for each tap, which is good. Came with silicon grease (no instruction) and some other plastic bit, possibly for reinforcing, but no instruction.

The customer support from Bristan for this product is outstanding, I bought this 2 years ago, it developed a small fault, Bristan sent out new parts free of charge which cured the problem! Highly Recommended

I’m not a plumber and found this very easy to fit and really good quality
A great bit of kit
DAVID (verified owner) –
Just fitted this today easy enough but could not use the easy fit install as my sink hole was too small, not a problem just split and with a little help from the wife we sorted it. Cold feed goes into the hexagon screw securing fitting and hot into the other. The tails are hand tight only and I added a little grease to protect the seals. All in all seems great value let’s see how long it lasts but with a 10 year warranty should be fine.

To replace the old one.
Weakattheknees (verified owner) –
You get what you pay for and with taps it’s worth spending that little bit more or you’ll be replacing them every year
Kindle Customer (verified owner) –
Bought this to replace a faulty mono tap. This unit looks good and is very well made. Took about an hour to change over. Needs 2 people to install the base plate unless you have extremely long arms, but the ‘easy fit’ system made it a lot easier than a conventional fit. I would imagine any future maintenance will be a walk in the park. Would highly recomend.
Floppy Ears (verified owner) –
Excellent quality kitchen tap. Smooth movement and feels good quality. We have no issues with the tap dripping for a while after lever turned to off unlike some other reviews, but we had ours installed by a professional plumber. We did not have easy fit already installed but I’m confident we can instal a new tap ourselves when we do need to replace this tap. My only minor criticism is the levers are a little small but they tidy and easy to use.

Absolutely pleased with this kitchen tap in every aspect! Living in a hard water area this “easy fit” version makes it so convenient for future maintenance.

Roy Perry (verified owner) –
Nice looking tap and works good so what else do you need
Warekwi (verified owner) –
A plastic reinforcement piece is provided for use with typically thin stainless steel sinks.(mentioned in the instructions but not shown in the drawings) Fitting that makes the installation MUCH more difficult but it is definitely needed in other than tiled or other solid benchtops. Sadly the very ingenious design of the tap enabling installation from above counts for nothing as the included reinforcement piece needs to be held from below while tightening the assembly. I ended up taping the reinforcement to the lower clamp part to temporarily hold it in place- alternatively you would need two people (or EXTREMELY long arms!)
dongdongju (verified owner) –
Seems like a well-made tap. Would be easy to fit if the hole has access from both sides but this is real life where you have to work between a wall and the back of the sink. Two people were needed for one stage (screwing in the valve from top whilst a partner is under sink holding an anchor plate in position.
Tap comes with flexible hoses and valves which is nice but check against existing set-up. In our case the hoses were much longer so I had to cut out a section of copper pipe to avoid the hoses being excessively kinked (I couldn’t use our old hoses as the screw thread fittings were a different size)
Peter (verified owner) –
fitting as guide was simple enough until it came to putting the tap assembly onto the base which was not possible the fittings must be a different size because no matter how hard i tried the tap would not fit onto the base. i am now without a kitchen sink. very poor design or manufacture.
