Bought this to replace a leaky one in the kitchen. To be honest the biggest pain was getting the old tap off!. However once done I had this one in its place in about 10 minutes. Whilst it’s not the sturdiest of taps you’ll ever find its well worth the £20 odd quid its sold for. It will do until we replace the kitchen

Supplied with everything you need for a direct swap. All fittings appear to be good quality and the water running through the body of the tap is nice and quiet in comparison to my previous branded tap of similar model. It doesn’t look cheap either once in place and was pretty much a perfect replacement in terms of size. Once fitted, asked the wife what she thought of the new tap and said she didn’t even notice. At this price I don’t expect it to last a lifetime, but nothing ever does nowadays so why pay a fortune.

On opening this tap seemed like a good value item that looked smart. The problems came when I was fitting the unit as I expected the main body to be an integral unit. I didn’t expect it come apart into three pieces and once apart it didn’t want to fit back snugly. I had no alternative but to fit it as best as I could as the old tap had been removed. The moveable spout now has a massive amount of vertical play and leaks despite being tightened to its limit. I’m not sure if this was a faulty unit or if they are made this way. I’ve fitted taps before and none have separated out as this one did. It will have to stay in place until I can source another.

Early days yet, a little difficult to regulate flow but I am sure this will improve with use. I was surprised to find that the flow rate is the same on hot and cold setting. All in all good value for money.

This tap is ok for the money, its lighter than my old tap probably because its a lot smaller in the main body, its so small it made it difficult to centre over the hole in the sink, also wrap the thread with PTFE as the o rings on the flexy pipe on there own even with joint sealer leaked which meant taking it all out and starting again, it seemed quite sturdy once id finished so time will tell as to how long it lasts

Simple design, but easy to fit and works well. The mixer’s hot and cold flexi cable tail ends should be gently tighten with an open-end spanner. Don’t over tighten.
(Some similar mixer’s come with flexi cables that are designed only to be tighten by hand, these designs then to leak most of the time) Same when attaching the other ends of the flexi cables to the 15mm hot and cold pipes, no need to over-tighten the connection. Just to note, I found it much easier to attach the flexi cables to the mixer tap unit first, and then feeding both the cables through the top of the sink unit. Once you’re happy with the positioning of the tap secure the underneath base of the mixer tap to the basin using the bracket, washer, securing and tightening tool, all supplied. Finally attaching the other ends of the cables to the 15mm inlet pipes.

Installed by my plumber. Easy to fit. The water spout works like a European-style tap (quite a fancy looking jet of water). Tap feels sturdy and well built too. No complaints & would recommend. It’s not the longest of taps though, doesn’t reach particularly far into the sink, but that doesn’t affect me or my usage, just something to bare in mind if you have a large sink.
